Real Estate Notebook: Offices, shops sell for $193.8 million

A recap of the week's real estate news.

The Shops at Boca Center and Towers at Boca Center, adjacent office and retail projects, have sold for $193.8 million, public records show.

A entity tied to Cornerstone Real Estate Advisers of Connecticut bought the properties from WRC Properties.

Morton's Steak House, Rocco's Tacos, Joseph's Classic Market, Hoffman's Chocolates and Panera Bread are among the tenants at the 120,000-square-foot Shops at Boca Center, 5150 Town Center Drive in Boca Raton.

The Towers at Boca consists of two office buildings totaling more than 218,000 square feet.

Engels & Volkers land polo field naming rights

The Engel & Volkers luxury real estate firm has secured naming rights to the championship field at the International Polo Club Palm Beach in Wellington.

The firm's name also will be associated with three prominent polo tournaments hosted at the site: the USPA C.V. Whitney Cup, the USPA Gold Cup and the U.S. Open Polo Championship.

The winter polo season begins Sunday.

Palm Beach Gardens mansion listed for $30 million

Palazzo Grande, a 16,000-square foot lakefront estate in Palm Beach Gardens, hit the market for $30 million.

The home at 5435 Sea Biscuit Road in the Steeplechase development, has six bedrooms, 40 chandeliers, a 1,120-square-foot pool, a ballroom, a tennis court and a guest house. It's the most expensive listing in Palm Beach Gardens, according to William P.D. Pierce, the listing agent with Coldwell Banker.

Pierce also is the listing agent for Le Palais Royal, a more than 60,000-square-foot palace under construction at 935 Hillsboro Mile. It's one of the nation's highest-priced homes for sale at $139 million.

Free course for community associations

The Katzman Garfinkel law firm will conduct a free course Wednesday on forming committees in community associations.

Instructors Bill and Susan Raphan will discuss such topics as how committees are appointed and what powers they have.

The seminar will be from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Coconut/Palm Room Tamarac Community Center, 8601 W. Commercial Blvd. in Tamarac.

On Jan. 14, the Raphans will lead a seminar that offers state certification to community association board members. That course will be held at Nob Hill Soccer Club Park, 10200 Sunset Strip in Sunrise.

The law firm held monthly seminars last year at its Margate office but will rotate locations this year.

Two Fort Lauderdale properties sell

Bonvie Realty, a commercial and investment brokerage, announced the sale of two properties in Fort Lauderdale.

A 10,000-square-foot office and retail building at 4242 N. Federal Highway traded for $1.8 million. The building is fully leased.

Bonvie also was involved in a $625,000 deal for 1800 E. Commercial Blvd., a 4,000-square-foot office building.

Cervera firm to handle sales at Conrad

The Cervera Real Estate brokerage will handle sales and marketing for the Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach Residences, a condo-hotel property on Fort Lauderdale beach.

The project — a never-opened condo-hotel once tied to developer Donald Trump — is being managed by Conrad Hotels & Resorts. The Conrad is expected to be ready for full occupancy this summer.

Prices start in the $400,000s. Penthouses are listed in the millions of dollars.
